Tea Anyone?

One of my all time favorite tv programmes is Dr Who, I have been watching it since I was tiny when  my mum was studying Film History as part of her degree and we watched an old Doctor Who episode together. I found it fun and scary... still do! Over the summer I have been experimenting with white charcoal! It took me a while  (and several sheets of paper!) to get used to them but I have a few drawings that I will be posting in the near future.
This white charcoal drawing was inspired by episode three  (Victory of the Daleks) from series five of Doctor Who.

It makes me smile.
There is a quote on the back of the boxed dvd set for this series that I really like and would like to share. I really hope to make my own story a good one!

"We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. You'll dream about that box. It'll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand new and ancient. And the bluest blue ever. The …

Tim Tag and 10 Days to go!

This tag took forever and I'm so pleased with it.  I'd set myself a challenge to start a blog and enter a challenge before my fifteenth birthday and I've cut it close ( only ten days to go!) but I did it. So, I am really thrilled to be entering this tag into my first two challenges.... Tim Holtz, one of my craft inspirations Twelve Tags of 2012  and the Summer Ice Cream Colours Challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. I chose the pink, cream and brown to represent Neapolitan ice cream.

Because I don't have the die to make roses I improvised! I started to play with the leftover pieces from when my mum die cut the tag for me and discovered that the inner bit of one of the book plates on the die could be cut into a spiral which could be twirled into a rose! I use Core'dinations card and sanded them a little. Next I cut them into a spiral which I then cut into petal shapes (still keeping it a spiral). Then I twisted it into a rose which is very fiddly so took for…

The girl and the balloon

Thank you to all of you who have joined me as a follower or commented on my first post! I'm so happy about starting my own blog and I would like to say a massive thank you to my amazing  mum  who helped me start this blog and showed me how to use blogger! Also, I would like to say a big thank you to Buttons who wrote a post about my new blog!

This is a doodle that I have created using a black biro and my French Bic colouring pencils that I got on holiday in France with my dad and his family. At first I intended to do a black and white picture but then I part coloured it in and really liked the contrast.

My favourite part is the girl rising above the setting sun into the tea time sky.

Ooh, I have a blog!

My first post. A paper collage on a canvas. Created by me, inspired by a Klimt painting. The canvas is part of a face and hair with flowers in it. The hair is made up of lots of torn up pieces of 'real hair' from magazines  I outlined the hair and all the flowers with my black Posca pen then I added dotts of gold to the middle of the flowers with my gold posca pen.
Now I have a blog!
